Raised in southern California, Lisa received a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the California State University of Long Beach. After graduating she continued training under established sculptors and painters. After mastering life-like sculptural art and photorealistic graphite drawings, Lisa expanded her studies into special effects prosthetic sculpting. Subsequent to building her own art, she trained in sculpting at several leading special FX studios, including Stan Winston’s Studio, creating body suits and prosthetics for various films.
She also created action figures and toys for several leading toy companies where she worked on pieces for various films, including Star Wars, Where the Wild Things Are, How To Train Your Dragon, and many more. Her work can be found in both public and private collections in the United States and abroad. She currently lives and shows her work in Los Angeles, California, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Paris, France.
